Finally, a good shot of Alex's best (in-house) play buddy - Kit. I know he misses running with Gregor, the deerhound, but soon - soon.
Vet check this afternoon. After a follow up radiograph, Dr Muench says Alex is healing fine from his toe jamming. He must be getting too many treats or the minimum excercise is affecting him, he weighed 49.5 lbs today. I am glad the Dr says he can run again. We will be a little careful, though. At least until after the December show. Are we really ready for December???

Per Thomsen

I would like to take time out from Alex to introduce my great-nephew, Per. He and his family are in need of your prayers and thoughts. Per has Rhabdomyosarcoma and must go through a long regiman of chemotherapy. Please keep him and my neice Kristen and their family in your prayers!

Big brother, Carlos, is always first in line for food and attention.

Happy Thanksgiving! 2004

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO EVERYONE!
I know my person, Pat, is thankful for all of us here with her. Be sure to give your thanks today and every day. It really does make you feel better!

It is a bit cool, but a beautiful day in Cincinnati. We will go have dinner with friends soon. I can't wait to see all the kids.

Alex, up close!
I signed Alex up today for the Cleveland Classic in December. It will be fun to see Mary Lynn, his breeder, again. Of course, Alex would probably say he is looking forward to seeing his litter mate, who will also be there! After watching him play with his long distance relatives in Mississippi, I am excited, too!

Here is Alex in a natural stand this weekend. Hard to believe that Thanksgiving is right around the corner and Alex is almost 9 months old!

Hard to believe it is the middle of November! We wake with frost and if we are lucky get to a beautiful day like last Sunday. Sun and just enough breeze to blow the leaves around. Ahh, what a day! The boys had fun outside and I, well, let's just say that daylight savings time pushes a lot of outside (and inside stuff) to the weekend. The yard was raked, nails were trimmed and all furs were brushed. What a full day!

It is rainy and dark tonight, 46 degrees and feeling colder. Seems like it has been dark all day. Alex is chipper as ever, though. His toe is feeling better and he ready to play, but not yet allowed.

8 months old, 48 lbs

Alex is now 8 months old! Easy to forget - he is such a pup! Here he is next to Carlos tonight - the old man is seven and a half.

Alex's toe is still swollen, so back to the vet tomorrow. We did lots outside today, putting away summer furniture and hoses and all. They are ready for bed and I think I am, too. Tomorrow IS another day!
