46 pounds of fur!

Alex is starting to compare in size to the "big boys"! He still gets creamed on the steps when they are in a hurry, but he has a LOT of hair to cushion his fall!

NAPTIME! It was a great weekend and the neighbor-dogs have now gone home. It is quiet enough around here to here a PIN drop! Nothing is moving but the rotating fan. The dogs are all sleeping and I am sure the cat is relieved! Hope you have a great week!

This is more like it - lazing in the master lounger.... watching the world go by!
How fast can you change a tire?

Jumped his first wall!

Alex jumped to the top of a 3 foot wall today for the first time! I guess he is really growing up. That is what my friends say. ;-) I had not encouraged him, due the bone-growth problem he had in July, but UP he went, all by himself.

Alex will be 28 weeks old tomorrow. I have also entered him in his first Conformation competition in October. We had better start practicing - and more than jumping!

Ahhh, puppy days are speeeeeding by! Look at them go this morning! It was a cool morning and they were all frisky! Alex is about 44 pounds today. I think he is about 24" at the withers. It hard to measure a dog who insists on licking your face and ears all the while. ;-)

Xtra, getting ready to jump! We took several, but didn't manage to get one of her in the air. She is small, and very mighty!

Visited first AKC Agility Trial, Harrison OH

Alex made a new friend today, "Xtra". She is a beautiful Belgian Terv! We met her and her folks at a local AKC agility trial. She was a little cool at first, but warmed up to Alex pretty quickly. Who woundn't?

When they get a chance to play without leashes - WATCH OUT!

After the parade (go VW!) we took "Grandma and Grandpa" home. Alex was a perfect gentleman in the back of OUR VW and stayed put. He got great compliments from them on being such a good dog.

The folks here had not seen him since a graduation party. They were all surprised at how much he had grown!

Harvest Home Parade

September 9 - officially 6 months now ---
Alex got to go to the Harvest Home Parade today. Biggest Fall event on the West side of Cincinnati. He not only got to hang out with the pups in the back yard, but did get visited by several kids along the way, including Hayley, who wants to adopt Bear (on her lap).
He was also saved from the biggest bands and drum majors by staying in the back. LOL

Labor Day 2004 - 26 weeks old

Labor Day 2004.............. Alex is 42 lbs and 26 weeks old today. Alex spent the morning at work with Pat, then had a busy afternoon guarding the homestead. It is a beautiful 86 degrees - perfect for a romp in the puppy pool!

Last night the WEBN Labor Day fireworks lit the skys of Cincinnati. There were several parties on the hillside and Alex visited many new folks. He doesn't let fireworks bother him over-much and was having a great time with all the people and his canine friend Leo.
