25 weeks old today! Wow! Alex is growing so fast. It seems like just yesterday he was a little ball of fluff!

Another Sunday at the park! I love weekends!!!

Saturday... Carlos's ball got stuck under the couch. When Pat went to get it with this fantastic stick - I thought it made the perfect chew toy!! Wow!!

Conformation classes to begin

We will start Conformation classes on September 1. THERE is a new "sport" for both of us!

Alex is fairly easy to train.. willing to do whatever you ask. He picks things up quckly, thankfully. I teased to friends that puppy class taught him how to sit - and now we have to learn how NOT to sit! One thing is for sure, it will be fun with Alex!

First puppy diploma, August 19

Alex finished "puppy class" August 19. By the time we were done, he could hold a down or sit while I crossed the ring and waited to call him. Such a star! Naturally, this does not translate to everywhere yet, but we are working on it.

We also tried some beginning agility equipment that night. Alex was our demo dog and demo he did! The teeter totter confounded him after another pup SLAMMED it, but knowing our little guy, it won't take much to get him back up there.

Alex is still herding the other pupppies during playtime, but can now be called from them for a check in. Then it is ... OH YEAH - back to PLAY!!

Saturday afternoon... Alex is 39 pounds now. 24 weeks old on Monday. His shaved leg is growing out and his personality is POPPING!
The nights have been cooler, so the flowers are also popping out. Had to get them al in the same picture. Handsome, aren't they?

23 weeks old and 38 pounds of energy!

Alex and "Champ" had a great play time Sunday afternoon. I bet Champ slept all the way home to Cleveland! I know Alex found a quiet place in the closet where no one would bother him. ZZZzzzzzzzzz....

22 weeks and I am almost as tall as Carlos! Just a little longer, I will beat them all in races!

Visit our friends, Hunter and Kicker and read their story! Kicker used to live at our house. He is a great friend to Hunter! He used to play with Kit a LOT, now it is my turn!

August 8 - Officially "five months" old! I still love going to the park. I will never outgrow that!

Week 6 of puppy class: Alex was the only puppy to do his "off lead come" last night from a sit/stay. All the other puppies were held by a helper. Brilliance! Now to stay ahead of it! Only 2 more weeks of class left. Now I need to find confirmation classes if we are going to show in Memphis in October.

Alex still likes to be with his friend Gregor. This is SO calm compared to their first 3 minutes at the park!

Alex will follow Carlos and do his best to watch for tips on FULL ENJOYMENT of the surroundings!

Alex is 5 months old now, getting to be quite adult in some ways. He is still about 35-36 pounds. We are not overfeeding so he will grow more slowly.
